Are you looking for support in taking your first in working for yourself?

Building on activities and services currently being delivered by all three partner organisations, a seamless service will be developed that caters for the needs of customers from the pre start up stage, new starts (trading 6 months or less) and established businesses (up to 3 years).

STEPS To Business Programme

Professional Development

Working closely with our partners we offer a range of short 1 hour workshops and have developed bespoke short courses tailored to participant’s needs and requests. We strive to offer support, advice and training to help meet real business needs

Business Support

STEPS brings specialist knowledge to the participant’s business growth. Whether the participantis in the planning stages, looking to improve established processes and products, drive new business growth or deliver solutions to pressing commercial issues, STEPS will work collaboratively with the participant to achieve these aims.

Business Start-Ups

This aspect of the programme provides a range of pre and post start support to individuals who have aspirations to start a business and the capability to make the business a success.

What’s on Offer

Assessment:

Following the one to one assessment with an experienced, independent business advisor who will review results and formulate the next steps which could include:

A series of short 1 hour business workshops
An intensive personalised support programme, including guidance, advice and peer learning leading to the development of a robust business plan.
Dedicated support in an application for external funding.
Ongoing support after business start-up.
